Weather outlook for Mauritius for the period Saturday 23 to Wednesday 27 February 2019.

Our region will be under the influence of a warm and moist airstream coming from the north. On the other hand, very unstable atmospheric conditions will prevail in the area which will favour the development of active clouds on the island. These clouds may cause locally heavy and thundery showers of short duration leading to temporary accumulation of water in certain places.
A slight improvement of the weather is expected as from Wednesday 27 February 2019 following a slight strengthening of the wind from the east north east. Maximum temperature will be between 32 and 34 on coastal areas 28 to 30 the high grounds.

Saturday 23, and Sunday 24
Mainly fair in the morning and at night. Cloud developments are expected during the day and in the afternoon with localized showers together with thunderstorms on the central plateau, over the western and southern sectors. The showers will be moderate to heavy in places and will spread to the north west as well as in other sectors late afternoon.
Monday 25 and Tuesday 26
Weather will be mainly cloudy with moderate showers, thundery at times over most of the island. The showers will be locally heavy and may cause local flooding in flood prone areas.
Wednesday 27
There will be scattered showers with chances of isolated thunderstorms mainly to the East, the South and over the Central Plateau. The weather will start improving as from late afternoon.
